Greetings fellow darters,
As we jostle for our final position and otherwise wind down the Fall season, it would be a good time to keep an eye towards the Spring season. What I'm talking about is more members; specifically a few more people to fill in where teams now lack, and some new teams for us to play with. It's easier to do this now -- we're in the bars and clubs that might like our contribution to their bottom line; we're in the bars and clubs that see us engaging in a sport that they can easily participate in; and we're in a position to show others outside our bars and clubs what the league is like and what goes on. All of this because we're still playing. Some folks still have the season to finish out, but the rest of us will be in our favorite watering holes over the holiday season, and we'll all be participating in LODs and perhaps a few tournaments both formal and informal.
What am I getting at? The league needs everyone to look for new bars, teams, and people. Any place with a few feet to spare on Monday and Tuesday can start up a sport that we'll all be able to enjoy and will cost virtually nothing. Cost of boards and lights is small, and the bar fees will be more than covered by the first nights business. There can be two teams on the same night -- we just schedule them opposite one another.
You don't have to do a hard sell, just mention it and see what happens! One of the league officers will be glad to go and talk with the manager if they would like, and we'll go from there.

- All players, be aware that we have updated the score sheet to include All Star Points (for those so inclined). The updated score sheet for game play on this website is found on the League Statistics home tab . We have also added an ASP scoring sheet for opposing team on the back of each score sheet that can be downloaded as well.
- You'll note that the ASP scoring is now a bit different. Cricket and bulls eye scoring remains the same, as does keeping track of good darts (Ton80, RON, High In, etc.). But, the ton scoring has been changed to mimic the cricket and bulls eys scoring. For example, a score of 95-100 is worth 100 ASP, 111-130 = 120 ASP, etc. We have also added the 5 count (C5) in cricket to the scoring. First week scores have been entered as best we have them. Please check. The new system is effective immediately. The League is looking into a possible payout system for ASP, so make sure your teams keep them while this is figured out!
